It was the first scheduled race of the year, but due to poor weather conditions at Tacoma, DBNSW organisers unfortunately had to cancel this year's Wyong Regatta. Thank you to all our paddlers who made the trip to attend this race despite the weather. Fingers crossed we will have better weather for CNY! (Update: Added training photos leading up to the race)

With a greater than expected number of 8km entrants into this event, BlueFins raced in the new category of 150m sprint races along with other social and sports teams. Congratulations to the category winners - Northern Beaches, the winner of the 150m sprints (Sports), and FFB the winner of the 8km round-the-island race.

23 BlueFins paddlers travelled to Brooklyn for their first race of season 2011/2012. Fielding a Premier Mixed and Opens team, with a good balance of experienced and young paddlers, the fast improving BlueFins were competitive amongst other serious contenders. Well done boys and girls!
